Bird Theme Journal - Envelope Booklet

I just finished this beautiful bird theme envelope booklet and I'm very happy with the result!

The images inside the booklet were printed on coffee filters & sewn onto coffee dyed paper, the pockets are coffee filters that have been sewn and an image was stamped. The last three pages have hidden pockets with small folders inside them. The inserts in the pockets are coffee dyes papers and the small envelopes are created with vintage Reader's Digest pages.

Miniature Journal "Golden Romance" from Mixed Media From Me 2 U

I love the result that came from this miniature journal. It measures 6" H x 4" W, the cover is a paper bag decorated with tissue paper, Lindy's spray, gold paint and copper colored lace. It is filled with coffee stained papers as well as digital pages that are for sale in my Etsy shop. The closure is a cream color seam binding.

Lunagirl Challenge - Lady With The Blue Diamond Earring

While surfing the web, I stumbled on the Lunagirl Moonbeams blog. I was familiar with their shop and was happy to see that they are holding weekly challenges. This week's challenge is their #12, Lady Blue. We're asked to submit something that includes a lady dressed in blue, feels blue, etc.

I created my tag by applying blue acrylic paint on the entire tag, once it dried I added a stencil image with the same color, which makes it look like a "ghost" image, then spritzed some Perfect Pearls in Turquoise. The image is a Pre-Raphaelites painting of a lady with a blue dress. I highlighted bits of the dress and her scarf with Stickles in Waterfall. There's a piece of blue lace at the bottom and seam binding that has been colored with the same acrylic color as the tag. The lady in the original painting has a yellow flower in her hair but I substituted it with a blue gem. The title I gave the tag is "Lady With The Blue Diamond Earring".

Shabby Chic Canvas & Beach Beauty

I had created these projects a couple of months ago but had not posted the pictures, here are a few close ups. The canvas is 8" x 10" Shabby Chic style, that has a lot of layers of ink, lace, pressed leaves and other wonderful layers. The vintage photo is a transfer and has a piece of mica on top with a stamped image. The beach beauty has been created on corrugated cardboard also with several layers of paint, gesso, micro glass beads and real shells.
