Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge - Celebrate the Season

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge once again!!! This week's Challenge #71 is Celebrate the Season and we could interpret however we want. I chose "Spring" as my theme. I really can't complain because we have been lucky to have a mild winter but I still can't wait to see all the flowers and trees blooming! :)

I inked the background, added the flowers using the watercolor technique and printed the vintage image of the seed packet. I added some Stickels for a little sparkle.

I hope you like this week's ATC and thank you for stopping by!!! :)

Wicked Wednesday - Valentine/Love

Love is in the air and it's no exception at Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge - the theme this week is Valentine/Love. For the challenge, I'm submitting this cute little cupid waiting for his love to arrive! The background was created using Distress Inks with just a small splash of Perfect Pearls Mist.

I hope you like this ATC and thanks for stopping by!!! :)

Add A Charm & Seeing Stars

It's the Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge once again, and once again, I'm entering - two weeks in a row - YEY!!! This week's challenge is asking us to add a charm. One of my favorite movie stars from the Golden Era of Hollywood is Bette Davis. She was an outstanding actress and also a great role model! She paved the way so female actresses could be treated with the same equality as the male actors of their time. When I saw this cute little charm that says "Adore" I couldn't resist adding it to this project.

Two, for two!!! As it turns out, this week's Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge is: Seeing Stars. Well, how can you have a wonderful movie star without surrounding her with STARS. Therefore, I'm also going to include this ATC in their challenge.

Thank you for stopping by and I really hope you liked this project!!! :)

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge - Embellish It

I'm finally trying to get back to the swing of things. Between the holidays, family visiting from out-of-town and being sick, this year has been a real slow starter for me. The only problem is that I can't take seeing all the beautiful creations everyone is posting and I have not even cleaned my craft room...sigh! So with my daughter's help, I was able to clean my room a bit this Saturday- at least I cleaned a small corner off the table so I can at least start creating something! LOL!!! :)

I had started this ATC for Wicked Wednesday waaaaaaaaay back, oh, let's just say, late last year :)  I really liked this little snail and could not just put him away. Luckily for me, I am able to use it for Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #67, Embellish It.

I used a mask on the bottom, sprayed Tattered Angels Mist, stamped the lines, branches and grass. There is a small sentiment stamped on the piece of burlap on the left corner, which reads: Have a Good Day. It's not very clear but I didn't want to tear the burlap off the ATC and take a chance ruining it. The butterflies and flowers were created using paper that was first sprayed with Tattered Angels mist, then die cut. A blue seed bead sits in the middle of the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by and hopefully the next post will not be too far behind!!! :)

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge - Lunch At The Circus

The theme for this week's challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC is circus fun, and boy did I have fun with this ATC!!! :) As soon as I saw the picture, I knew what the caption would read - it pretty much wrote itself! :) I painted the ATC with yellow acrylic paint, then placed a stencil and spritzed it with red glimmer mist. I printed the quote and highlighted it, as well as the picture, with a light coat of the acrylic paint.

Hope you got a little chuckle and thanks for stopping by!!! :)

Lizzy Borden's After Thought

While hopping around on the web, I encountered a blog by the name Wicked Wednesday ATC Blogspot that focuses all their challenges using only ATCs. I thought that was a very cool & creative idea. Since I'm fairly new working with ATCs, I figured that this would be a perfect opportunity to commit to creating ATCs more often.

This week's challenge is #48 and we were asked to create an ATC using the colors Black, White & One Other Color. I haven't created anything with a Halloween theme, so I focused on something spooky. I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with Lizzy Borden. She was an upper class woman living in Massachusetts in the 1800s who was accused of killing her father and stepmother on August 4, 1892, with an ax. She was arrested, went to trial and was acquitted 1 year later of the murders. The murders are still "unsolved" as of today. When I purchased the stamp with the saying, I wasn't sure when or how I was going to use it. Well, the saying seems perfect for Lizzy. I imagined that thought crossing her mind while she was sitting at her trial. :)

Hope you like this project and thanks for stopping by!!! :)
