The mid-month challenge over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is Challenge #33 - Lovers. I was browsing through my file with clip art of couples when my quirky sense of humor kicked in. I love old horror movies and started searching those images. Well, what do you know, a picture of Frankenstein and his bride just jumped right at me so I figured, why not? Monsters need love too, am I right? lol!
I transferred the image onto cardboard, the small arch die is painted red, highlighted with Black Soot Distress Ink. The skulls are from Graphics 45 and are stamped with permanent ink. The small heart & foot Milagros are from Carmen's Veranda, Small Milagro Set, and are stamped in permanent ink, then colored with Distress Markers. The embellishment at the top is made of clay. Of course, we know that Frankenstein's bride did not feel the same way about poor Frankenstein as he did about her. That's why I thought the stamped quote "I love this place!" was the right phrase for this image.
I hope you enjoy this project. Thank you for visiting!
